Actions:
- It was raised that repeat, prolific named offenders and callers for ASB and ASB proxy crime take up a great deal of resources/cost. Merseyside Police Neighbourhood officers to discuss with Community Safety Partners/other partners what work is taking place to tackle this matter and explore opportunities to disrupt, apply for CBO/CPW/N to lower prolific, repeat offender rates.
- Merseyside Police Neighbourhood policing reps to consider ASB callback compliance in local areas and satisfy themselves the process is not losing traction with changes to the new force operating model.
- The Preventative Orders Team sergeant is to undertake analysis to evaluate the rate of reported incidents pre and post Public Space Protection Orders to ascertain if it is having an impact on reducing demand.
- Chief Superintendent Baldwin will look at fast-food restaurants and tolerance levels (there are anecdotal reports of teens causing nuisance/ASB) and consider working directly with franchisees who are responsible for the fast-food brand to be considered. Similarly, with retail parks – a consistent approach is required across Merseyside. A threshold level. Link in with businesses to determine what business are putting in place re security etc. Chief Superintendent Baldwin to look at this issue and consider a benchmarking exercise.
- Inspector Mavrakakis to create a timetable of diversionary activities to share online with MASP Meeting partners detailing what diversionary activities are in place at peak times in respective areas.
- PCC representative, Mr Berry, is to create a slide for the next MASP Meeting detailing what has been funded for an understanding of commissioned projects/services selected by the PCC’s office including data to illustrate if this does/does not overlap with our ASB hotspots.
