Merseyside's Criminal Justice Board (MCJB) brings together criminal justice agencies on Merseyside with a view to joining up criminal justice processes across a range of areas.
This crucial partnership is chaired by the Police Commissioner, Emily Spurrell, and brings together the following members:
- Merseyside Police;
- Crown Prosecution Service;
- Her Majesty’s Court & Tribunal Service;
- Merseyside Probation Trust;
- Her Majesty’s Prison Service;
- Youth Offending Teams;
- Legal Aid Agency;
- Local Authorities.
Meetings also examine issues around recovery in light of the coronavirus pandemic, including updates from each agency on how they are adapting their business processes and ensuring continued partnership working so that all organisations can deliver their services effectively and efficiently.
