Emily Spurrell is attending a General Meeting of the Association of Police and Crime Commissioner's (APCC), the national body which represents Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs).http://apccs.police.uk/

The two-day event will give the PCC the opportunity to meet with colleagues from across England and Wales to discuss key policing issues, including the policing protocol, governance, tackling serious violence and wider devolution developments.

This meeting will focus on the future plans for PCCs nationally and how they can work in even closer collaboration to prevent and tackle crime, support victims and drive improvements in the criminal justice system.

The second day of the event will also include a keynote speech from the new Chief Inspector of Her Majesty's Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS), and former Merseyside Police Chief Constable, Andy Cooke.
