Police and Crime Panel
Merseyside's Police Commissioner is today meeting with the body which supports and scrutinises her work, the Police and Crime Panel today.
Emily Spurrell meets six times a year with the Panel. They support the Police Commissioner, while holding responsibility for overseeing her work and making sure she is holding the Chief Constable to account.
This is the first meeting of the 2022/23 financial year.
This meeting will focus on the first priority of Pillar 1 of the PCC's Police and Crime Plan: Fighting Crime
The PCC will also use this meeting to present her draft Annual Report for her first year in office, entitled 'Embedding my vision for a Safer Merseyside'. Providing a draft copy of this report, gives Panel members the opportunity to give the PCC their feedback before she produced her final report.
This meeting will also cover a review of how the PCC distributes community safety funding and set a workplan for the Police and Crime Panel for the year ahead.
Police and Crime Panel meetings are always open to the public.
