National meeting of PCCs

Merseyside's Police Commissioner will meet virtually with her PCC colleagues from around the country today for the first time today.
Emily Spurrell is attending her first General Meeting of the Association of Police and Crime Commissioner's (APCC), the national body which represents Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs).http://apccs.police.uk/
The full day meeting will include a welcome speech from Home Secretary Priti Patel MP, as well key note speeches from the Policing Minister Kit Malthouse MP and the Fire Minister Lord Stephen Greenhalgh.
There will also be a presentations from the Victims' Commissioner Dame Vera Baird who will lead a discussion about the issue of Violence against Women and Girls, and the Director General of the Home Office, Patricia Hayes.
Due to the current restrictions around people's movements in light of the Coronavirus pandemic, this meeting is being held virtually, allowing PCCs to join together and discuss critical issues remotely from their areas across England and Wales.
