-
Virtual meeting
Closeup of Jane

Merseyside's Police Commissioner will unite with her colleagues from across the North-West at a regular meeting aimed at improving partnership working and collaboration.

Jane Kennedy meets with her PCC colleagues from across the region every quarter with the goals of sharing information and best practice and improving shared working.

This meeting will be held virtually and on the agenda are a review of the regional working collaboration and North West Regional Organised Crime Unit.

This meeting will be followed by a meeting of the North West Joint Oversight Committee, during which the PCCs monitor the existing collaboration arrangements.

Jane wants your views on policing funding today...

The Police Commissioner has to set the police budget soon.

She wants your views on  if you would be willing to contribute an extra 19p a week in your council tax  to enable the Chief Constable to recruit 160 new police officers next year, as well help balance the budget and protect jobs?

Without the extra funding the Commissioner will have to reduce the budget, the recruitment of new officers can’t
go ahead and the Chief Constable will be required to cut back on the service again.
