Police Commissioner Emily Spurrell

Merseyside's Police Commissioner is today meeting with the body which supports and scrutinises her work, the Police and Crime Panel today.

Emily Spurrell meets six times a year with the Panel. They support the Police Commissioner, while holding responsibility for overseeing her work and making sure she is holding the Chief Constable to account.

This meeting will focus on the second priority from her Police and Crime Plan for the region: 'Supporting Victims'.

The PCC will also use this meeting to present her Medium Term Financial Strategy and provide an update on the delivery of her Estate Strategy.

This meeting will also include a report on the PCC's work to raise the profile of the role and cover any key decisions which have been made since the last meeting.

Police and Crime Panel meetings are always open to the public.
